We dated
You took me out

Something happened

I fell away from my friends
I became quiet and depressed

You came back to me

I met new people
So did you
We stopped talking
I didn't see you much anymore
For over a year we barely spoke

Then another year
School was back in session
And I saw you again for the first time in a while
You sat next to me in class
We began to talk again

You kept trying to get me back
I refused and tried to remain your friend
After all we went through
We managed to still talk
And slowly become close again

Its been almost 4 years
And we are still in a friendship together
I'm blessed we got through it all
